“Charity is certainly greater than any rule.”
St. Vincent de Paul, priest (1581-1660 A.D.)
Some of pupils in year 12 who are completing OCN Religious Studies have been learning about Christian Charity as part of their course. They researched the work of St. Vincent De Paul.
During the season of Advent, they put their learning in action by helping the RE Department in organising our whole school Campaign of building and donating hampers to our local St Vincent de Paul. Boxes were turned in hampers and wrapped and then delivered to all teachers.
Our Junior Liturgy group also were involved in this campaign, Sorcha, Ciera, Aaron, Rionagh, in year 10 and Annie, Emily, Ellie and Clara in year 9.
Each year group received information on the work of the charity, and this certainly encourage everyone throughout the school to get involved.
We in the RE Department are so appreciative of the support from our colleagues, parent and pupils.
Thank you to each one who helped.
