Art Trip

A very special day for the Art department students- we had an opportunity to view the work of internationally renowned sculptors FE Mc Williams and Hilary Heron on a visit to the FE McWilliams Gallery in Banbridge. The work was truly inspiring and it was magical to view the work up close and in the round- nothing beats that 1st hand experience. Our students were able to research, analyse, sketch and see experiments, machetes, thinking processes and problem solving by 2 of our foremost 20th century sculptors. This trip will now inform our future practice within the art department. A special word of thanks to the team at the Gallery for hosting us- and for the in-depth and highly informative guided tours.
