Almost 50 year 8 girls and boys took to Lisburn Racquets Club today with Miss Houlahan, Mr Gibney, Miss Kelly and our amazing year 12s who have been assisting to coach them as part of the Volunteer Now Project: Jack, Harry and Milo.
The students took part in The Cleveland Project NI’s blitz which saw the students take on several other schools such as our neighbours St Joseph’s Crossmaglen, St Patrick’s Grammar and as far as Laurelhill College.
Most of the players started with basic-no knowledge of basketball and can now say they have won basketball games - we are so proud of them all; so much so they treated themselves to a lovely McDonalds to finish their very busy day filled with back to back games!!
